top Teabowl- wt2         approx. 4" x 4"     SOLD

Second in the batch of a new clay and new surface techniques, these teabowls echo the urban grafitti on the streets of DC. The ash, flashing, and Wisconsin chicken grit create a complex experience, echoig both nature and language.

Teabowl- wt1         approx. 4" x 4"      $35

Fired in Jack Troy's Komuri Anagama.....another complex surface, with script as a background.

Teabowl- wt3         approx. 4" x 4"      $35

My newest explorations have been with the surface.....playing with script and texture, the ash has gentle folds and rivets to settle on and bond to, adding a layer of complexity. This teabowl is a great example of what I'm hoping for with this new technique.

Teabowl- wt4         approx. 4" x 4"      SOLD

Teabowl- wt5         approx. 4" x 4"      SOLD

Teabowl-kc4         approx. 4" x 4"      $35

With this iron-rich clay body, plus a little surface play, this teabowl is ready to go!

Teabowl- kc6              $35

This teabowl has plenty of ash and a gentle layer of shino over the surface design. Great specimen from Kevin Crowe's Noborigama......

top Teabowl-s1         approx. 4" x 4"      $35 each

These cups began as tulips, and have transformed into gentle tea meditations. The rims undulate like a mountain landscape, my version of our aged Appalachians. Shino glazed and wood fired in Wisconsin. Others available.....just ask.

Teabowl- s2              $35 each

A beauty with a gentle shino glaze blush.

Teabowl- s3             $35 each

Teabowl- s4              $35 each

Heavy ash over shino.

Teabowl- s5              $35 each

top Tumbler- jt1               $20 each

Wood fired in Jack Troy's Anagama, summer 2007, these tumblers are each unique specimens from unique areas in the kiln. The dry surface that often appears behind the side door has become one of my favorites, especially when slight ash deposits happen later in the firing.

Tumbler- jt2              $20

Flame markings add the perfect accents to this tumbler. Perfect for bedside water, or an evening pint.

Tumbler- jt3              $20

Subtle ash deposits and a hot flameworked surface give this tumbler a finished look.

Tumbler- jt4              $20

Lots of markings, and flame patterns from objects placed near it during the firing.

Tumbler- jt5              $20

Classic gold ash and flashed claybody.....a true statement of the effects of Jack's Anagama.

top Port cups- pcs         approx.       $20 each
